Without great photos to present your products, you cannot be successful on Ebay or Amazon. Customers need to know what you offer, and this is only possible with clipped photos of your products. The photos are not allowed to contain any frames or logos, graphics and texts. That is why you have to choose your photos carefully and adapt them to the specifications. Your photos should be realistic and of high quality for a perfect presentation of your company. Ebay, Amazon, and Google Shopping have guidelines for image editing. Google Shopping requires a height and width of at least 1000 pixels by default, and only files in .jpg and .png formats with a size of 3-4 Mb are accepted. Zoom views are not allowed and placeholder images are not accepted. Sounds complicated? Contact us and we will help you edit your photos!
Guidelines for Your Product Photos!
If want to sell your products via eBay, Amazon or Google shopping, you have to understand the rules of each site. For Amazon you need high-resolution photos so you can use the zoom feature without sacrificing the sharpness of the photo, and only clipped photos with a white background and different angles are accepted. In terms of image composition, Amazon has clear guidelines as well; the trimmed image should fill at least 80% of the entire product.
Choose the correct product image
These standards are of great importance for customers since they allow an observation of a product in a similar manner as in a shop. Therefore, the photos have to be as realistic as possible - the fabric, the skill behind it, and the fit. For clothing, therefore, the hollow-man montage is a must in order to make clothes look alive without a model that distracts from the product. Other products, such as bags or machines, need other objects for a perfect display. These objects should not be visible later on in the photo and therefore a post-processing is a must. On platforms such as Amazon, product images have yet another function: they increase the conversion rate! The more requirements are incorporated into the image, the faster you can find the image. Appear with your product before the others and stand out from the competition!
Optimizing your images for online stores not only enhances your look, but also your chances of being found among other providers. For Google Shopping, we recommend listing the product directly through a Google Merchant Account. Google directly displays a price comparison in the categories of the product you are looking for and this listing is visualized with the existing product photos. This means that your product photo is one of the most important components of your strategy since the customer decides here at first glance! Google Shopping has also set rules: the images should not be smaller than 32 × 32 pixels or larger than 64 megapixels, photos of garments should have a minimum size of 250 × 250 pixels and no images or thumbnails may be displayed enlarged. Watermarks, logos or texts are strictly prohibited, as well as the use of frames. In addition, all images should have a white background. As you can see, we know all the standards and are a perfect fit for the optimization of your photos!
